Now let me get this straight -- you're MPs but you're not supporting Harper nor are you backing the other opposition parties.
I guess which party forms Canada's government is not important enough for the Pension Democrats to bother with the outdated formality of a vote!
That's the Pension Democrats for you: present in the House but with each member securely tied in his or her seat.
BEYOND PATHETIC. I hope they lose every one of their damned seats when this government is finally defeated.

Ronald,
ReplyDeletedid you feel the same way when the Liberals spent years abstaining, missing votes because they were unprepared to face the voter?
The NDP are do NOT have the same vested interests. The Liberals used 79 votes, are those Pension Liberals? beyond pathetic liberals?
Consistentcy regarding both of these parties and exposing EACH one for the lack of principle and playing games in the HOC.
Every single Political Party at every election must answer for their behaviour inside the HOC. The public gave their verdict on the Liberal Party on October 14, 2008. They are now polling 3% above their worst POP in over 100 years during a negative crisis since WW2. Why have the Liberals and their leader failed to connect with the voters and liberal friendly pundits?
Perhaps the Big L or Small L means something different nowadays?
CanadianSense,
ReplyDeleteWhether I like it or not, this Conservative government has received two distinct mandates from the voters.
Our leader chose the responsible course and propped it up in order to respect the wishes of the voters. In other words, Michael had no choice but to give it some rope. However, you will concede that there is an appropriate time and place for everything -- including withdrawing confidence from an incumbent government. That time is now. (You will recall that I was publicly pushing for fall since the Stone Age. In private, I pushed for summer.)
No one can argue that the Liberals have not heeded the wishes of electors during the past twelve months. But that had to come to an end. And it has.
Watch the new dynamic as it evolves. Remember these words CanadianSense. The incompetent abstention in the House by the Pension Democrats will only accelerate the bleeding of left-of-center voters to the Liberals. That will translate into a bump up in polls.
I said it before -- read my keyboard: the Liberal majority IS coming!
The "Deathwish" by the Liberals?
ReplyDeleteThe next shoe has not even dropped, Liberals will be leaving the party, before they allow an unproven annointed leader destroy the party.
Denis Coderre was wrong in making his public statements. MI was wrong for allowing him too much power in QC. MI and his advisors along with other Liberals leaders have been going against public perception and logic for years.
The next few weeks the "rifts" inside the LPC will tear it apart.
I have been ---> told <----- by many Liberals they are going to win power back for many reasons and they simply ignore reality and choose to change leaders. This time it will be different. Blah blah, same excuses.
The McGill study is real, the Liberals are ignoring a serious renewal/rebuild.
Re-read the article. It NAIL the disconnect you and 95% of the partisan people suffer from in their version of reality by thinking they reflect the regular voter.
