Principles For Sale?

“The path of least resistance is the path of the loser.” - H.G. Wells.

Some people may have reasons why they are willing to throw their principles right out the window at the earliest opportunity. Personally, I can only think of thirty-six convenient excuses...trying to stem the bleeding is always a challenging task.

You think that takes work. Wait until their supporters get wind of the fact that convictions ratified seventy-nine times in Parliament are quite suddenly and remarkably "disposable".

As Don Imus said in front of Bill Clinton: "Go, Baby.". You guys will never forget it when it pops up and bites you in the ass. I can just picture the Liberal seat count climbing as you read this.

  1. Did you suggest the NDP/Bloc are less principled because they are not interested in going to the polls when the timing benefits the Liberal party?

  2. CanadianSense,

Damned right I did. This Prime Minister has no natural allies. Liberals have finally found their cojones -- the Bloc is spending its time telling the unions that sooner rather than later they will vote against this government. That leaves only the NDP: I hope they get an earful from the grass roots. And they have the unmitigated gall to call themselves progressives...it'll serve them right if some of caucus members defect to the Liberals. Oh, I forgot it's pensions before principles with that bunch.

  3. You mean the Liberals can fund their campaign?

Why would the NDP or Bloc want to go when it benefits the Liberals?

You keep ignoring the fact each party has its own self interest at heart.

This Fall more Adscam Trials, NDP and Bloc are rehabilitate their image by cooperating with some sensible CPC bills.

How does that not benefit everyone except the Liberals?

The CPC, Bloc, NDP are all interested and benefit from a weaker Liberal Party.
